I do love a kitchen time saver, so I was delighted when Savisto gifted me their 3 in 1 hand blender set to review on my blog. I’ll give you the technical specifications in a bit, but first, let’s talk about performance.
The first test was to prep some onions for freezing. After cutting the onions into halves and popping them in the blender, it literally look a few seconds for them to be chopped finely. This is something that takes ages to do by hand, so I was mightily impressed.
The second test was to blitz some home grown tomatoes. We’ve had a glut this year, so I roast them with garlic and freeze to use as sauces.
Normally I blitz them in the food processor, but using the hand blender was super quick (seconds) and a lot easier to clean up afterwards. This is going to be really easy for making soups when the cool weather sets in.
The other attachment is a whisk. If I’d been baking along with GBBO I’d have whipped up a citrus meringue pie for botanicals week, but you know how it is!
Anyway, back to the 3 in 1 hand blender. The parts are as follows:
- A hand blender for soups, sauces, mayonnaise, baby food, milkshakes and smoothies
- A whisk for egg whites, cream, sponges and desserts
- A chopper for meat, cheese, onions, herbs, garlic, carrots, walnuts etc
- Bowls and attachments
I’m loving it! The colour is really fab too. What do you think?
