One of the most fun journeys we’ve taken was a ride on the Peak Tram in Hong Kong. In some ways it was a nostalgic visit because in the 1950s, Steve’s mum used to take this journey every day as a teenager to be a nanny to some children in one of the posh houses along the route.
The views on the way up are pretty amazing!
The gradient is such that you feel a bit like you’re on a roller coaster, albeit a very sedate one.
When we got to the top you could see a haze over the city – smog! Of course, this is a packed tourist attraction and there is plenty of tat to buy, but we did find a nice café for a cuppa.
Well worth a visit!
