Jamie’s Italian Liverpool One: Review

Last week my best friend Linda and I were in Liverpool One for a mega shopping trip for mother of the bride shoes and accessories (her, not me – I’m Godmother of the bride).  Naturally this involved finding the perfect shoes and handbag in shop one,  checking out every other store just in case, then going back to the first ones we tried!  Anyway, all this serious shopping builds up a healthy appetite, so we decided we deserved a fabulous lunch and headed to Jamie’s Italian.

The welcome was warm and the waiting staff were quick to seat us and take our order.  Much as I would have liked a glass of wine, you need a clear head for shoe shopping, so I settled for a skinny decaff cappuccino and Linda had a coke.  We know how to live it up!

I ordered the prawn linguine at £7.75 which I thought was extremely good value for money and Linda ordered Jamie’s Italian burger at £10.95.  When they arrived we were not disappointed.  Linda’s burger was huge and in fact she couldn’t eat it all.  My linguine was a perfect lunch sized portion and very tasty too!

I loved the proper napkins on the table and the whole ‘Jamie’ vibe going on with the décor.

Even the bathroom had the most fabulous old fashioned ‘Crapper’ loos and huge sinks the likes I haven’t seen since washing our brushes in school art class in 1975.

We’ll definitely be back in the evening next time, bringing the boys with us!
